The hotel room was only OK. The beds were fine, the furnishings somewhat banged up--long in the tooth, and the bathroom modern. The TV remote (Xfinity) came without instructions and in a jet-lagged state after being up 24 hours wasn't worth pursuing the evening of arrival--so we did without. Next day, with help from the reception desk, we were able to get it working--strongly recommend in-room instructions or an auto setup on HDMI-1. In at least a hundred prior hotel rooms, never before had to select the input in order to get a signal.

I used ParkSleepFly to park my car, then stay overnight at the hotel at the end of my trip. The shuttle driver Ed couldn't have done enough, he was polite and helpful, took me to airport as soon as I got there (I didn't have to wait for the 2pm shuttle). Upon my return, I called the hotel when I got to P4 pickup area. The shuttle arrived within 10 mins. When I got to the hotel, the front desk person Rebecca was less than helpful. I requested a room near the handicap parking spot (due to a back injury I have difficulty waking). She assigned me a room on the 2nd floor, and when the shuttle driver overheard her, he told me that they do not have an elevator. I reminded her of my disability and told her that the stairs would be a problem. She just kept looking at the computer screen and told me that there weren't any rooms available on the first floor. I told her that it was unacceptable. No "I'm sorry, I'll check again and see what I can do". After an awkward few minutes, she eventually found a room for me on the first floor. Then I asked where I could get some lunch (I'm not familiar with the area). She just handed me a list of nearby restaurants, no menus, no suggestions. (I found out by driving around later in the day that there is a supermarket right next to the hotel, with a Starbucks inside). Whatever happened to hospitality and customer service? Onto my room. The hallway was a bit dark and outdated, but the room itself was clean and newly decorated. Nice touches, like a new mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom was updated as well. Upon checkout, I mentioned my check in experience to the front desk person on duty that morning. He apologized and said he was a manager and would speak to her. He offered me a complimentary coffee and pastry (set up in the bar area available for purchase, but I was not aware that they had a continental breakfast available at all). Not a bad experience, but for the price I expected something a bit classier.

Waited and hour and a half for pick up at the airport. Called 3x and was told each time "10 minutes". The price for parking was good but not worth the waiting. Didn't stay the night only used the park/fly portion.

We spent one short night in the Kenilworth before a flight from the Newark Airport. The sports bar had a great choice of beers and the bar food (fried fish, hamburgers, sandwiches) was delicious and freshly prepared. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got to the airport with plenty of time with the hotel van. The pick up (a week later) from the end of the air train in La guardia was a little problematic. We waited quite a while for the van. Apparently we just missed it while he was serving other guests. However the driver was quite helpful explaining where we could get fast meal locally before heading home. Shuttle departure was excellent. Shuttle pick up and the airport was delayed.
