The hotel was fine, but what we experienced when we returned was the only thing that I found poor. We returned about 10:30 PM on Saturday Nov. 1st went and claimed our luggage and then tried to call for a shuttle back to the hotel. I tried to call 6 different times, with it ringing about 6 times and then disconnecting. Luckily another shuttle driver asked were we were staying and he took us back. I gave him a 10.00 tip for his efforts.

I would have preferred that Baymont Inn use Quik Park as that company has a shuttle outside the airport door almost constantly and requires no waiting at all.

No specific issues with the accommodations but did have a concern with the return transportation after our trip. Once we arrived back at DTW, it took two (2) calls to the hotel and 25 minutes for a shuttle to arrive to take us back to our car.

The hotel seemed a little sketchy. When I arrived at about 11pm, after work, there were a bunch of men hanging outside the lobby and a few inside. The front desk clerk mentioned seeing them every night. Did they live there? Kinda weird. It also made me concerned about the safety of the car all week. The toilet kept running every time I flushed it, the carpet was stained and there was no remote for the TV. I wouldn't stay there again. I was told when I checked in that I should pay when I checked out. I was planning on paying cash. When I checked out, I was told that my card was already charged. They hadn't taken my Park Sleep Fly deposit into account, so they charged the full amount of $90-some dollars, instead of my balance. The front desk clerk didn't know the program existed or how to refund my card, so I had to call back the next day after she left a message for the manager who worked nights. They eventually sorted it out, but it was much more difficult than it should have been.

We stayed here at the end of September 2014 and left the car there for a week. We had difficulties with transportation both at the beginning and end of our trip. The 2 of us and about 8 others were to be on the 6 am shuttle to the airport but it arrived already full of patrons from other hotels. The driver told us he would be back for us "in 10 minutes" He returned at 6:30 but now had to fit all the 6 am and 6:30 people on the shuttle. Everyone was starting their trip very stressed about getting to the airport on time. At the end of our trip we arrived to the airport about midnight and followed instructions to call the Baymont for pickup. Their phone line was busy, and busy, and still busy after 40 minutes of calling. We waited outside, at the pickup location, hoping maybe someone else got through about a ride, but by now the airport was very empty. We had no way of getting in touch with the shuttle driver. Finally we spoke to a driver from a different shuttle company and he radioed our correct shuttle. I complained to the Baymont shuttle, and I complained to the Baymont front desk. I called the manager the next day and again the day after that. In addition I left the manager, Cyd Day, a phone message with my name and number. Almost a week has passed and still not even a phone call. They have not only lost my business but that of all my contacts.

Room was dirty, no Internet so I couldn't check in to my flight early, the lady at front desk lied straight to my face and said they have no Internet because it was down and they were hooked in with hotel next door, so I walked next door and asked that hotel if this is true, they laughed at me and said no they aren't hooked in to Baymont and said theirs is fine, I went back to front desk and asked why she lied and all she did was try and back peddle and come up with another story. I will never ever ever ever ever stay at this hotel again !!!!! Waited 45min for a shuttle, they lied to me again saying shuttle was on way, I called 4 times to front desk....absolutely brutal!
