Airport Information
Buffalo Niagara International Airport was founded in 1926 when it became apparent that an airport would be needed for the growth of both industrial and commercial endeavors.
The first flights were in December 1927 when an airmail service was begun between Buffalo and Cleveland. Soon passenger service becaue quite popular and the routes increased to New York City, Cleveland, Chicago and other cities. In 1959, the airport's name was changed to the Greater Buffalo International Airport.
The terminal is open 24/7.
